Introducing the new baby!

I just met my new goat.  She was born Wednesday and I get to pick her up in 2 months.  This is Buffy!

Isn't she so cute?  I'm in love!  The next two goats that I'm getting will be Faith and either Willow or Anya...bonus points to the person who can name the reference!  Mom is a mini-lamancha and her dad is a full lamancha.

Re: Introducing the new baby!

Adorable! She's smiling. smile

Good choice on the LaMancha. I've got them, and I just love my munchies. They are so sweet, everyone who visits compliments their friendliness. My mini-Mancha doe offers to shake hands with everyone who says hello to her. So polite lol.

I like the names you have picked--Willow is actually on my list of potential names for this year's doe kids. I've got a doe named Flora, so I want to stick with that theme for her kids--Willow, Iris, and Lily are my top three choices for hers if she has girls.

Re: Introducing the new baby!

I know!  I got to love on her today.  I never knew how cuddly goats could be!  I'm so bubbly with giddiness now. tongue  I'm going to keep her with two Nigi girls and breed her back to a Nigi later.  I love how "popcorn" like she was hopping and popping around.  I can't wait for next year too when I'm milking all three girls.  Her mom, the minimancha gives supposedly 5 quarts a day and this girl will be bigger than her mom. th I better start saving for that cream separator and the cheese and yogurt stuff from Hoeggers or I'll be overrun with milk (not a bad thing)
Anyway, thanks for letting me share my happiness, celebrate wee Seriously, what's better than baby goats?
