Loving the herd life
I noticed yesterday evening and all today so far that my young ewe had a squinty left eye.
I thought it was because of the sun that was shining in her eye, but even in the shade it was like that.
Good thing she doesn't mind being handled, because I looked at her eye and it's cloudy in her eye.
Not swollen or red around her eye, but I was looking at pictures, and it looks most like pink eye.
Is there any antibiotic paste I can put in her eye or something?
I remember when my neighbors dog had pink eye, I had helped her hold him down while she put goop in his eye twice a day.
Any suggestions?

So sorry Parsnip that your critters are having some issues and I know you want to do what is best for them. Had one lamb several years ago with those scabs on her mouth...it is a virus and runs its course...it is also contagious, however my sister in law was mouth kissing that lamb right on the lesions and never got it. Have not dealt with pink eye here, but have heard local sheep owners talk about the miracle of raw honey to treat that. Good luck with your sheepies and hope all issues clear up quickly!
