Hi all!
My name is Ricki. I live on a small, 5 acre ranch with my husband and 3 yr old son. I was a new 'chicken farmer' last year, until a pesky mink got into my pretty solid coop and killed 13 egg layers, 1 rooster & 4 Peking ducks:hit. Since then, I've raised 6 Rouen cross ducks, 2 of which are sitting on 2 nests of eggs, 2 30" mini horses, 2 chocolate heritage crossed turkey's, and I'll be getting 2 wethers & 1 ewe this week! I also have 3 dogs- a purebred husky, a husky/German shepherd cross & a beagle, & 3 cats. I'll love & care for anything that breathes! I don't know where I find time for everything but I do, as I am a CNA at our local skilled facility, a full time nursing student, mom, & wife! I'm so excited to join y'all's group, thank you for having me :thumbsup. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Welcome to BYH :frow So sorry to hear about about your terrible loss. Minks are a nightmare, because they can crawl through gaps as tiny is 1 sq inch, so it's hard to keep the little boogers out. Your dogs and mini horses are beautiful! Good luck with your new ventures and enjoy the forum!
