We have just about everything setup for the three goats coming home on Friday, still need to reinforce a fence or two and get the sides on the shelter. I am having a tough time trying to figure out just what to use but I think I have settled on plywood for now. Will they try to eat it? The shelter is framed out at 8l x16w X 8h with a slanted metal roof and a dirt floor. Considering a raised sleeping area but would also like to store hay bales on one side. Any thoughts?

Welcome from North Carolina.
Use the 4x8 sheets of T-111 ( I call it barn siding) instead of plain plywood.
They will not eat it.
Whether or not you need a raised sleeping area would depend on how dry the dirt floor stays.

Thanks OneFineAcre I think I will use the T1-11. Its in a pretty dry area and the plan is to use either cedar or straw bedding. I use rice hull bedding for my chickens but I think this will be too messy for the goats.
