So, I was planning on putting a hutch up against the back side of my garage. Now I hear that rabbits may spray urine out of the back of the cage, and onto my garage. How far away from the garage should I set the hutch in order to keep the garage urine-free?

Not sure how far away, you might need to place the cages and see... I know we have our cages placed a foot or two away from the garage door and I ended up wiping the door down :sick, it seems that the younger ones and if you have several, they feel the need to make the others aware of them!

Right. I'm getting similar data elsewhere. I'll have to think about an alternate location. I have a massive pine tree, the lowest branches are about 8' up, and I could set a hutch there in the shade, but then I don't have the protection from wind and rain. The garage has 24" eves, so I almost wouldn't have to roof the hutch.

Maybe I'll go ahead and put the hutch next to the garage, and attach some kind of fiberglass or plastic panels to it as a pee shield. I'll have to see what I can scrounge up.

OOOhhh! shower curtains! They may not last forever in the sun, but they're super cheap, and I can staple them right on the garage's plywood paneling. Yay! Problem solved!
