Nothing. I had a closer look last night. I think she scratched it somehow?

During a scramble pen change last night due to 10 cm of rainful, I discovered my buck was very VERY interested in Murielle, who was not at all interested in him. I'm not sure if this is just due to her being the weak one in the herd or what. Hrm. They refused to move to eat yesterday during the rain, so she was thin from an empty rumen this morning, but hung wide down low still instead of being streamlined.

Still nothing. She has slimmed down significantly and is back to looking like her wiry self. I had the buck in the pen with the girls today and he went after her like an idiot. She dropped and urinated for him, but he was still interested in her. Not sure if that puts her in the not bred zone or in the overly horny buck zone. Golly he stinks!

Oh shooooot! I just hopped back on here after my siesta (had my own baby girl!) and saw you first thing and got soooooo excited for you!!! That darn Murielle! If it makes you feel any better, my Shadow who had a stillborn at the beginning of the year is about the same. Cannot tell if she is preggie, some days yes some days no. Except of being a spaz, she hides in her crate or behind her mom (Shadow is 2yrs!) Such an introvert. Only time she is happy is with the babies, so I'm hoping and praying we'll be having some soon!

Welcome back, and congratulations on your kidding!

Murielle was butchered today, and I checked the moment she was culled to make sure, and there was no sign of a pregnancy. Sad to see her go, but I wasn't sure she'd survive another winter and her ability to get pregnant along with her sheer mental numbness put her on the chopping block. The guys who butchered her are great people and will enjoy her thoroughly.
