Herd Master
So this year, I've been fortunate enough to be hands on (well... leash on bystander) to the breeding of our does. 2 down, so far, several more to go, and next year we make some decisions on who leaves our herd.
So I thought I'd share and post the pairings as they happen in anticipation of next year. You can make your predictions here if you like of what/how many and, if you like, colouring, as this'll be a crap shoot!
We had purchased, what I consider to be, one of the most gorgeous coloured boers I have ever seen in person. He stayed with us for 3 days, and left this morning, as he was far too wild for our setup and was clearing 4.5 foot fences from a standing position, broke our 1200lb two rope and nearly ripped my shoulder open. We really really wanted to breed our boer doe to him and were worried we wouldn't have the chance now that we needed to sell him -- well, she cycled yesterday and was bred twice and then twice again this morning by him. We are ELATED and look forward to seeing this combo.
Pictures and combos coming soon.
