I keep researching various diseases that can transmit from my small herd of 7 chickens to my ponies. Every morning I have a couple of ponies who have chicken poo in their water bucket. At the same time, those ponies have had a small cough (and have been seen by the vet).

I could have sworn there was something that could transfer that had to do with their lungs, but I can't find it. Any thoughts?

Virginia is for Pasture Farmers!
Salmonella, from chicken poop.
Histoplasmosis I've seen mentioned somewhere and Coccidiossis possible. Cocci is supposed to be species specific, but I find that not always true.
