We have two Juliana pigs who are about 6 months old and about 60 some lbs each and when we went in to let them out this morning our male, Levi was not acting like his bossy self, his sister was acting very normal though but He just wanted to stay in his stall and lay there, he ate very little and was just very lethargic and did not want to move much, this is very off for him, so we let him in there and when we went to check on him later we noticed that he is now shivering! we are worried about him!! Any info helps!!!

Thank you

Did he get cold? I had a pair of gilts out in the pasture and it had been raining. They didn't care for their hut and would sleep out in the brush. One of them was slow moving and had a definite shiver. I tossed four square bales of hay in the pasture by her and she rooted under them. The next morning she had warmed up and was back to being her piggy self.

Just make sure that your pig didn't get cold and give him a way to keep and stay warm. I'm not big on any sorts of medication but he might need a dose of an antibiotic. Durapen is a good common one.
