For those of you who do not use Facebook, I am posting this here.
My friend in VA had someone come to her property, jump the fence and STEAL one of her goats.
He's young, newly purchased and she's afraid someone might have just taken him for food.
She wants to get the word out ASAP in hopes that the thief may try to sell the goat.
Here's her Facebook plea:

Please crosspost!!!

STOLEN in Waynesboro, VA Augusta County: At 12:30am Thursday October 30th, 2014, my sweet baby boy Jimmy was stolen out of his closed up house. I have it on video. 2 people drove out, jumped the buck fence, stole my baby and drove off. Police have the video and are trying to enhance it to read the plate.

IF YOU SEE ANY GOAT THAT LOOKS LIKE MY SWEET JIMMY THAT SOMEONE JUST BOUGHT, OR HAS FOR SALE, PLEASE NOTIFY ME!!!!!!!!!!! IF SOMEONE HAS SOLD YOU OR TRIED TO SELL YOU A GOAT THAT LOOKS LIKE MY SWEET BABY, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!! HE IS JUST A BABY AND IS ABOUT 20-25LBS.

I AM WORRIED SICK ABOUT HIM!!!!!!! REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO HIS RETURN OR TO THE THIEVES ARREST!!!!

he has tattoos so he can be positively identified. They are hard to see for the novice though so please don't think its not him if you just don't see tattoos!

This is an earlier post with some add'l info she posted on Facebook:

Terrible terrible day on the farm. My buckling that I paid $800 for was stolen at 12:30 AM this morning. I have it on video (which does have night vision). the police are going to try to enhance the video to make out the license plate. they pulled in, all the way up to my parking area, turned around, went all the way to the end of the driveway turned off their headlights and then on the video I can see the passenger getting out going behind the car they go over to the buck house steal my baby get back in the car and drive away. They were here a total of 4 1/2 minutes.

:somad and :hit

It is just awful. Really makes me sick.

Getting more common too... there was another goat stolen not far from her last month. NC has also had some livestock theft.

We recently had a truck and trailer parked outside our hotwire on side of road at 3 am. Thankfully our LGD's were on that fence and they left. In the am we saw footprints around where they were parked on the shoulder.

Yep! News got around FAST. Her goat was FOUND! I suspect the thieves discovered they were caught on video plus the fact that EVERYBODY was out to find this goat, so they let him go. Or maybe he escaped on his own. Who knows?

The good news is he's been found!

Here's my friend's post on Facebook:

Hallelujah! My baby boy is home! I can't begin to express the deep gratitude I have for everyone for sharing his story on Facebook like wildfire. Getting the word out so quickly it brought my baby home! so just to update what I know so far, he was found wandering the lane near the local haunted forest. The haunted forest had not been open since the time he was stolen so it does not appear that somebody just tried to bring him there. It is my guess that a neighbor somewhere around there probably is the one that got him and he escaped trying to find his way Home and was found wandering the lane there. When I picked him up he was shaking and scared and actually tried to run from me even though he is a bottle baby and would never run from me. As soon as I got him out of the truck when we were home and he saw the rest of the goats he started crying out to all of them he was so happy to be home! He is so happy to be home he is loving on everybody! Praises!!!!
