Thanks! :) I'm interested in most any animal that can play a part in sustainable living. I'm thinking of starting with chickens, rabbits, and goats. When I get the hang of it I'd like some sheep, cows, pigs, quail, turkey, geese, ducks, pigeon, guinea hens, tilapia, salmon, and prawn. (I wouldn't get them all at the same time of course.) Then I was thinking some horses, peacocks, and donkeys or mules. Then the pets of course, cats, dogs, reptiles and amphibians, ferrets, aquariums, birds... And feeder animals of course, like mice, rats, crickets, and worms. (I won't list all the species of these animals as that would be my entire Excel chart.) And I'm open to learning about new animals.

I know that's a lot. But I only plan to get one or two at a time as I work them into the system and if I reach a point where my care-taking capacities are maxed I wouldn't get any more. But I believe that with some careful planning and the correct methods (and maybe a little help from my friends who are interested) it can be done. We shall see.

I got tired out halfway through reading your list! Best of luck with your plans and goals, sounds like internships are a great way to go about getting lots of practical knowledge and experience.

And welcome to BYH!
