I have used both but cant really tell if it does anything as far as weight gain goes
I think hand feeding with added water to make a mush increase appetite because they don't need to stop eating to drink. but it seems to but the weight on faster. then my friends who use dry feed in a autofeeder.
it could be that my pigs just had better genetics.that could of been better if would of used dry feeding or not I have know idea

I dry feed because it is easier than wet feeding. Also in the winter wet would freeze up. The water tanks have heaters in them and are right by the feed trough. I do feed wet to very small pigs, grain with goats milk.

Wet feeding definitely helps weight gain if you do a little research, its not a significant increase but it is consistent and I would say it is definitely worth it if you are feeding by hand

Noob here with new pigs. Mine weren't eating much dry, but chowed down when I wet it. They are still figuring out the auto-waterer, though.
