LOL- @Baymule is trying to convince me to move to East Texas... and what is even more of a hoot is my son is too!
That is wonderful you have found someone!
Congratulations on your soon to be new LGD!
I have 6 Great Pyrenees and 2 Anatolians. None of them are incessant barkers. I did have to work with my Anatolians though. None of ours roam, fence climb, wander, or dig...
When they do bark... it is for a reason.
I do wonder if some of these issues are lineage related. Friends of ours in the Mountains have all Anatolians because the pyrs up there are horrible... people buy them $50 and get 3-4 because they know at least 1 might make it as a LGD the others are "disposed" of.
Made me sick and sad.
That IS funny about @Baymule and your son ganging up on you! I used to live in MN and PA, and it took a bit to get used to the heat here. We probably had 30-40 days over 100°. But, by the end of the summer, it was doing fine on the 100° days. They didn't even feel that bad. I think once you a climate to the heat, you would love it here too!
Yes. We are looking forward to meeting them ND breeders, and hoping it will be a good match. We found our Boer goats, after meeting someone on the Internet.
I'm glad you are doing well with your Pyres. I think you are right. It all depends on the stock they come from. That's just sickening what people do with their Pyres, up in the mountains!!! People should not be allowed to have animals at all, if that is the way they treat them.
