Howdy! I am moving from southeast Texas to northeast Texas in the Tyler area. We'll be neighbors! We bought a house on 8 acres, this moving stuff is hard! Southern is trying to talk me into goats, but I think I will get sheep. Good luck with your adventures and be sure to keep us updated!

Hi Baymule. :frow So glad to meet y'all!

That's so cool that you are moving to East Texas! We are friends with the people we bought our land from and they are moving to Tyler. so, we will definitely be in your neck of the woods visiting. You and DH and I will definitely have to meet up when we are there!

I agree! moving is the pits! I have done it way too many times in my life, and I am tired of it! DH has said this is the LAST time we are moving! I tend to agree with him. ;)

So, I'm confused. You do or don't have goats???

sounds like you have a plan worked out for your animals. good for you. i live "up the hill" from you on the Arkansas/Oklahoma boarder and i have Maremma lgd's too and i love them to death. i bet you will be happy with your choices. looking forward to hearing about your adventures.

Hi GoatGurl,
So nice to mee my "Up the Hill" neighbor. :frow

So glad to hear you have Maremma's too and really like them! They are awesome dogs! So, do you breed Maremmas? Or do you just have them as working dogs? How many do you have on how many acres? Do they guard chickens? That is what we are going to start our little girl on. I know it's going to be some work, but I also know it will be worth it in the end. This won't be the first dog I have ever trained, so hopefully it will go well.

No- She is getting sheep. :hit

I have 2 sheep. :duc They are my adult daughter's.
They'd be best in the freezer.:)

I like animals that are pet like and follow you around and you can hug and love on.

Actually I am really not a sheep hater... I just like giving the sheoples a hard time! :p
Our breed is a primitive breed... I know there are sheep breeds that are more cuddly and loving.
If I ever got sheep again it would be the Dorper. They are tasty!:drool
