We haven't had this much fun with a newcomer in awhile!
Everyone seems to be in rare form.

Lucky You! :woot

This has been fun! I used to be on Facebook, but got off several years ago, because of all the garbage they do behind the scenes. This reminds me of some of the fun I used to have with my FB friends. :celebrate
Thanks y'all for the fun first day on BYH! :D

We have a lot of fun here :) But we can also be serious when needed! Ugh, I recently caved and joined FB :tongue I prefer the forums!

Sorry to hear you're allergic to lamb(?). That is some seriously bad luck, but I heard goat is yummy too!

:frow Hi Whispering Rooster! So nice to meet y'all! We aren't all that far from each other . . . Just a little over 2 hours. :D =D
Our Marema breeder is in Eskridge, KS.

If you're just starting to learn about LGDs, you might want to check out the Yahoo! Group I have been following for a couple of years now - WorkingLGDs. Dan Lane, who moderates the group, used to breed Great Pyrenese. He is very active on the group. He and his wife sell a DVD that has great info on LGDs. I can't remember what I paid for it, but it was very reasonable.

Haha you bunch on goaties! YES! I am getting Dorper sheep! I was thinking about a goat/lamb swap with @Devonviolet but if you can't eat lamb-cancel that! I don't even have the darn place fenced yet, not even moved yet, still trying to get the inside painted and tracking my flooring shipment. I have to get the house done before starting on the outside. My DD summed it up, she said, "Mom, you would live in a dump as long as you could go outside and play." Ya' know, sometimes I wonder where she came from, then I look at the rest of my family and wonder where I came from.......

 Ha! You are so funny Baymule! One of the things I love about our new place is that it is so new and we don't have much to do to make it our own. Most of our time can be focused on our animals outside, and come Spring our veggies!

If I had my way, I would build a bodacious barn and live in it with the animals. I am the "odd" one in the family. But I like me this way.

We bid on a HUD foreclosure, a doublewide on 8 acres, won the bid and are now trying to get the inside done so we can start putting our stuff in the house. Then can start the fencing, etc, chicken-something-to-put-them-in, a pen for the horses, fence the yard for the dogs and so on.
