I had finally sold all my bucks(need new lines for next year) and had sold several does making my total does freshening at a nice easier number of 6. I should know that when this happens, something wonderful will come up for sale :) I found a very nice registered purebred nubian doe and a registered "experimental" doe. Her doe kids can ge registered American nubian. I only planned to get the purebred, but when I saw the other doe, I HAD to buy her. So, my question is what is this experimental's kids going to look like? Will they always be white?

75% nubian and 25% saanan, but looks like a nice white nubian. She is wonderful!

LOL I did the same thing! I saw an experimental
Alpine 75% and Lamancha 25% she looks like an Alpine.
I LOVE this goat. I had to have her. :D
But now I am perplexed as what to do with her.
If I do mini's which is what I want to do they cannot be registered... not a big deal but if I breed her to an Alpine buck that would end up better. Problem is finding an Alpine Buck... all related around here. I also do not really want to add an alpine Buck right now. Maybe in a year or two. As a FF I wanted the Nigie bred to her.

As far as the white... I know there is a chart somewhere. I will see if I can find it.

Very nice. :)
We know a number of Nubian breeders who do experimental's with Saanens.

I am going to say no, the kids will not be 100% white. She may be phenotypically white, but color genetics are wildly complicated and what colors she has the potential to produce are hidden in her genes. If you are wanting white, you might try to breed her to a white buck, but his genes could also have the potential to make color. Granted, I don't know that her breed is as known for its color scheme and pattern variances like some breeds, but still, she could have black, brown, tan, tucked away in there somewhere.

I do know that Nubian-Sannen grades are not always white I know someone that has them that aren't white
Now if they are white and you do see white American Nubians if there kids are always white I don't know for sure but I don't think they necessarily would
