I think she means the hay is so rich, the goats are gettign too high of protein and not enough energy. Eating too rich of foods can cause health and digestive issues (can we say gout?). Just like we need some carbs and fiber, so do the goats.

The results I have say she has elevated levels that all point to liver.
Can you say STRESSED?

That would explain a lot. The liver filters poisons, toxins and things are body is not supposed to have. If she isn't getting enough fiber or energy, maybe the liver is working overtime? Or she ate something toxic? Enough to get her sick but not enough to kill her. I really hope she pulls through, I know you care so much much about your animals.

Maybe she will behave better once the bag is tight and she really needs a milking.

Thank you @jodief100 .
We are waiting it out at the moment.
There was a lot of clover in the other hay but no one else has issues.
Toxicity is a concern, then I lean toward the higher richer hay. Yet not enough to evidence for anything to be conclusive. I am going to draw blood again and send it to another lab and have a few more tests added.
With our high iron there is always the possibility that the copper is being stored in the liver. We have serious iron issues here and have done testing to keep an eye on levels. Problem is the testing is that great for actually seeing if there is a storage issue... for that a biopsy will need to be done.
At what point do I draw a line? The info from the biopsy would be helpful for herd management purposes.... yet so would a necropsy.
:hide It is awful to say that but there is a reality here.
I am drained... thankfully this is not some whole herd issue.
I thought maybe I need to be done with goats... then I went out to the field and all our babies come running and realized Nah, I love my goats.
