Hey! Sorry for my absence, my computer would not let me log back in! Needless to say, no babies still. Day 151. I can however getmy hands around even further up her spine so thats new. She is also a lot more vocal, loving towards me, and hateful towards my other doe. She has dropped even more. Sometimes she acts like she is in labor, then next minute she's running and hoping across the yard! I did find out today that she has more than one due date..... the one we just passed and February 24th. I can't imagine that she would be dropped this much already if she was only on day 126 though....

so the other doe I have is due 2/9. I can feel one of her ligaments, lol, so I have that to compare it to.

Very true, that she does. Today she has taken to sitting in the down dog yoga position for a few minutes before lying down completely. I take it she's either super uncomfortable or getting kids in position. She has a very small amount of amber colored discharge, only reason I saw it is because hay has been sticking to her "area" all day and when I pulled it off, there is was. She's still vocal, and taken to groaning while laying down too.

I can't believe I'm writing this. But still nothing. Which is so weird because Suzanne has been acting so off lately and pre laborish complete with pushing her head against walls and trees. But I guess it'll just go into her goat book that she's sick of pregnancy a month ahead of time. :p So today must be her day 130 vs 155, Nevertheless. I'm thinking about changing the title of this thread and making it my kidding thread as I have Ellie due to kid end of this week/early next and Suzanne is only 20 days away from her new due date so there will be kids on this thread afterall! I will post updated pictures of my girls this evening.

Also. I may really truly be a moron. But are there not also two bones on either side of her tail along with the ligaments?A bit further out than they would be. Part of her pelvic bone or something? Or are those actually the ligs... I've looked at goat x-rays and skeletons and things and those bones are there as bones I'm just making sure...

Hey Megan!
I'm so excited for you!
Also I know how you feel. I just had my first delivery recently, and I was constantly feeling for ligaments and second guessing. I found some videos on youtube that helped. Seeing someone demonstrate conveys more than reading sometimes. Maybe go on youtube and do a search?
Here's a few that helped me.

and this has two parts that compare

part two is the same goat but closer

I hope maybe that helps. Good luck and happy goats!

You're feeling for the pelvis, where it meets the tail, and then out at an angle between those. Those videos are great for helping understand!

I would betcha you are feeling LIGS not bone there. There are no bones that run from tail to spine or hip, just the ligs.
