My ram has had diarrhea for a little while now. He has a good appetite, drinking water, and happily trying to bash apart the sheep shed.
I have treated with cocidia med. Just in case. I wormed him. His eyelids didn't seem all that pale really.
I scrubbed the water trouph and refilled it. For good measure put probiotics powder in water.
I will get some acv and put that in water tommorow.
I stopped the grain yesterday as well.
Other than the diarrhea he seems fine. Any ideas?

No. Same hay.
A fecal will be next step I think.
He does not seem to be losing weight. Its odd as heck
They usually go down fast when bowels are not right.

Temp is my first "go to"....especially since you posted that there is no change in feed.

Some people go straight to drenching with Pepto Bismal, but if his body is purging something bad for him, wouldn't want it to stop completely....Em on here years ago advised me to go instead with a drench with some gelatin and warm water and that slowed it down without stopping it...so, no dehydrating .... it cleared and I have no clue what caused it??? Since then I have kept unflavoured gelatin packs on hand here in my sheep medicine cabinet. When I drenched that, I also put in probiotics.

Hoping he'll be okay!!!

I would get a fecal done ASAP. Is he UTD on all vaccinations especially His tetanus? I would also admin. some Probios paste as per the labeling and drench some sheep specific Nutri-Drench liquid vitamin. Like the others have said, hold off on the Pepto. The mammalian body is very adept at purging harmful organisms and Pepto would just slow this process. Could some sort of recent stress be to blame like separation from the herd, recent change of diet, maybe an addition of a new herd member, competition of another ram etc.??? From time to time there may be what I call idiopathic diarrhea which I define as uncertain what the heck caused it (this is though with a fecal to R/O internal parasites, blood work, and all other causative factors eliminated). Good luck!!!

The odd thing is that other than the symptom of diarrhea he appears fine.
The rest of the sheep appear fine. I would expect him to be off feed and getting thin. He is a hair sheep so I can see his body condition pretty well.
No changes have been made except recent and that is stopping grain to see if maybe that is upsetting his system.
If he were showing more signs of illness I would get the vet right out. I just hate to spend that kind of cash unless nec.
You know how it is when your working on a shoestring budget.
