My sows are Berkshire, tamworth, large black and one york. They are all about 4 years old. I have one 800lb boar and a 400lb boar. They all get along good and both boars breed the sows. They have been running with the sows since Aug last year and the sows have been serviced multiple times but keep coming back into heat.
Since this time I have only had a litter from my Yorkshire. They are fed 1/3 each field peas, barley and wheat. 7lbs/day. sows range in condition from slightly over weight to slightly under weight. two of the sows have hair loss recently.

The thing that is really making me wonder is besides deworming the only one of my sows that was ever vaccinated was the york and she is the only one to have piglets.
I don't know what she was vaccinated with but she came from a commercial operation.

My pigs are kept out side year round and have access to good shelter all the time.
During the spring, summer and fall they are kept in portable pens and moved around weekly to keep them on grass.

A few months ago one of my sows was dragging her hind legs and very lame.
I isolated her and since she was unresponsive to penicillin I gave her a shot of meticam and she started walking good and not showing any signs of pain since then.

My water is very high in iron. Could that cause infertility?

Thank you for any help

Are your boars keeping cool?
Have your other sows ever had litters before?
Have your boars had litters before?
Are they all housed together?
Can you get your boars semen tested?
