We have two small Cheviot lambs who were bottle babies. They were finally integrated into the flock a few weeks ago, and weaned shortly after at about 6 weeks old. Right around weaning time I found some pimples/tiny bumps/rash looking things on the back end of one of the lambs. I can't find any photos online that match what she looks like.

My thoughts: sore mouth, but not on the mouth? diaper rash from scouring--the grass is very rich? some sort of disease?

Thanks in advance!

Could just be something to do with hormones? Probably not even close to the same thing but both dogs I've had that were female got these pimple things around their lady bits when they started to hit 5-6 months old - puberty i suppose?
I'm not sure but I think when I was docking tails for a friend some of their lambs had the same thing, this was a good few years ago so can't entirely remember, don't think it was anything to worry about

It looks like it could be soremouth. Despite the name, it can be found on the vulva/rectum, udder, and nose/mouth.

Soremouth seems likely, I thought I had read somewhere that it could be found on any bare part of the body but couldn't remember about lambs. We have a bad case of soremouth with two twin lambs right now so I am watching their mother, but didn't think these Cheviot babies had gotten it. Arrrg.
