Our goat has always been an escape srtist, but she hasn't tried for months. But we sent away her friend for a few days, and now she's upset and trying to escape!
SHES CLIMBED/JUMPED THE 7' CONCERTE WALL.

She's tethered right now, but I hate to leave her like that.
Any suggestions? I was thinking building the wall higher (chicken wire and wood), building it inward (same materials), or an electric fence (but that's $$$).

PLEASE HELP!!!

It would be best to send her along with her buddy. You just can't separate goats without serious consequences. They just don't do well.

We had a goat that escaped for fun (mostly fun with boys, but sometimes just the grass on the other side of the fence.) She was jumping AWAY from her buddies.

We ended up getting a used electric charger and running electric 10in above the 4' no climb fence. She wasn't climbing- she was clearing it from a dead stop at 10 months old. To low and she could still clear it- too high and she would go between. I worked wonders- though she would also listen and jump out if we turned it off the little brat. She also jumped out of the 5.5ft window in our horse stall when we locked her in there so she wouldn't jump the fence when she was in heat. Had to lute her that time since she seemed to favor the neighbors 200# Boer buck.

Since she was bred and kidded she has calmed down and we haven't turned the electric on for over a year. She's still smart and a trouble maker- but the jumping has stopped.

I agree, however, that if she's only jumping when she's alone you might need to figure out something else. Might be easier than the other fixes as long as she doesn't continue to use her new found skill.
