Its odd for me to think of but, Arapahoe County Fair is just 3 short weeks away. Plenty of showmanship training is in progress, and the Cake Decorating e-records are almost finished. I am making cat toys, and getting those dreaded e-records finished up. Scratch grains are being used up much more then usual. Leg bands are being put on, straw is in the coop. Pumpkin, my main show girl ,is learning how to behave. We are talking about what friends to go on rides with on Thursday night. The days are getting busy. And an unwanted thing is happening, a good show girl is going broody. So much needs to be done for the chickens, although I still have a few things to rap up for cake decorating and do the quick cat e-records. Even the fair cake design is still unknown, or the idea is know. For me, the days will start to be taken over by my chickens. I hope all goes well for my third chicken show, second this year. There is the feeling of making it to state, after a cake decorating contest win.

Sorry I typed that really quick. Any ways something I forgot to include was the cake decorating contest in May, I won it, my profile pic is the selfie I took with my ribbons afterwards. I will get the cake photo up later. That morning was busy, I even forgot my star tip, lucky there was a hoppy lobby next door. Also my parents did morning chores, and when I got back I was told that heart failure had gotten my rooster, he couldn't go in my hands like planned, oh well :(. And it snowed. Anyways my chickens are show birds, no market chickens untill next year, or maybe not if I choose market Turkeys. Thats all.

Its odd to think of, less than 3 weeks away is county fair. I spent the morning by the computer working on cat stuff, the final display thing still needs to be decided, cat toys of scratching post. I have found a couple good cat toy ideas, just nothing that I find to cool with the homemade factor in mind.
Pumpkin is getting better about staying with me, still needing plenty of work to come in the future, and a show girl is broody, oh well she will look better at show.
Cake decorating is almost rapped up, just the finishing story details needed. And fair cake design is still needed.

I'm sick of cat e-records. Luckily I only have 3 pages left, one has to do with litter and will take a couple days. I am going to be glad when they are finished and hopefully win, cats don't make it to state though.

Crazy how that works isn't it. I usually spend most of the fair in the poultry barn, but I have no idea what I will do with my time now.
