Ok so I will admit right off the bat that I have not lice powdered my babies yet, they're just due to be wormed, and they have not had their minerals for about a month (I am an assistant barn manager, riding instructor, and tractor operator.) I feel horrible about the first and last one! So here's my problem. My one doe who JUST turned two is turning white and it looks like her hair is thinning out. I can see pink skin showing through the white patches of her hair. She is black and white, and I believe the breeder said she was a nubian/pygmy mix. She's acting normal otherwise. Oh! She also has some dry flaky skin, but I've yet to bathe and moisturize them this year, (giving them a bath is always fun -_- ).
Is it just a mineral thing? Or is there something worse going on? I feel like such a bad mommy :'(

It would be great if you could post a picture.

If you are worming on a schedule you might want to rethink that. Having a fecal done to determine the Eggs Per Gram count (Mc Masters Method) and to determine types of parasites is important.
If they do not need deworming than you run the risk of increasing the chances of resistance.

I do not deworm on a fixed schedule. The breeder taught me to check their gums and the pink of their eyelids to determine if they are wormy, and to look for slightly clumped up poop. I know they can build up an immunity to it if the meds are given too often :) . Uhm....as soon as I can I shall post a picture. Unlike most people I don't have a smartphone nor do I own my own camera >.> (long story) . So I will ask to borrow someone's camera lol.

Thanks so much for responding!

Hey @Southern by choice ! Sorry I took so long to respond again. Things have been crazy busy *going cross-eyed* .
Anyway, the vet was out for one of our horses and while she was there I asked her if she could look at Addie (the mentioned doe in my first post) . She said if everything else about her is normal then she's ok. Apparently this happens sometimes when they shed out a lot of hair and undercoat all at once when it gets hot suddenly. She's looking a lot better already. Sorry for the panic -_- And thank you so much for trying to help me out!

Sorry again for taking so long! :/

they're just due to be wormed Goatmommy22

I think this part is what made it sound like you do a scheduled deworming.

It could be mineral deficiency or could be external parasites. Where is the hair loss? Is it all over or in specific areas?
