You need to ask some questions about that cl5 auto/manual utility head gate.
What's the full opening width? (Needs to open wide enough for your largest animal to pass thru it--about 27-29")
Is that a scissor or swinging gate headgate-- (looks like it opens inward toward the 'chute'. I hate them kind--seen some cow shoulder nerve injury from them)

Have experience with Sioux and Priefert for this. Last year replaced 30 year old Priefert with pretty red colored brand x Series 6 Heavy duty chute rated for 1700 pound cattle. Worked calves and weaned heifers and a few cows - mine are gentle and average less than 1300 - and chute needed repair after the one year warranty expired. Going back to pretty blue equipment.

I bet that 'BrandX' chute name started with a "T" and ended with "r".

Didn't see any bad reviews on the Txxxxr brand when I bought it, and had no experience with them. Was not a good buy -time, money or convenience.

Hello Everyone! I haven't updated this post in awhile but we finally ended up having to use our squeeze! I had a cow with foot rot, my favorite cow at that! As was mentioned...we drew it out before hand but the cows ran through it differently then we hoped but now we know exactly how to get this done going forward. We have one wild cow and of course she had to be the first to try it! Always has to be that way haha. Just thought I would stop back and share a few pictures of our new set up. Our little family farm is finally set up for us to be able to care for our herd!

I'm guessing you settled on a Hi-Hog squeeze? :) Nice set up, hope it works well for you for the next 10, 20 years!

Looks like she sees that needle coming and is giving you the stink eye! Glad you got it all situated and working.
