We believe my goat has had pink eye for sometime (before we bought her last week) and have been treating her completely white eyes. Yesterday I noticed the white is nearly gone and the eyes balls are a reddish/ purple color. Is this a sign her eyesight is coming back, or just the opposite?

How have you been treating her? I don't have experience with pink eye, but red/purple would be blood, which would mean they are bleeding inside. I'm thinking that would be a bad thing. But again I'm just guessing. Can you post a photo?

I am editing this to add that I just talked to my dad, and with cows, if it is pink it is trying to heal. Looks like it would mean improvement in your case.

BTW, another reason to treat these goats with antibiotics is that this could be Chlamydia and even if you clear up the eyes they will still have Chlamydia and it can cause abortions if you breed them and no one wants that. Oxcytetracycline will clear it up.
