So I have been trying to breed a lilac doe ( velveteen lops) for about 3 weeks. Earlier this week I left them caged for 10 or 15 minutes. When I took her out I noticed a bit of blood but Winston my buck had been bit on the paw by another buck and thought it was aggravated. Anyways it wasn't as I put in a different doe last night whom he bred, but screamed and there was a lot of blood, from his gentials, it appears there was some tearing between the penis and anus. And the end of his penis is blue, well it was last night. no signs of infection... is there any hope for him? He is acting pretty normal, eating and drinking. Pooping is fine, am pretty sure he is urinating but going to observe that more closely. No bunny vet nearby... any advice other than no breeding and observe? He is our first vlop, :( lived inside for over a year.

Poor fella. I would make sure to give him intestinal support while treating with the meds. Bunnies can be so difficult in regards to any disruption of any kind to their system.

Not sure what to think, his sheath is very swollen and it makes it hard to pee, and he isn't eating his pellets. Is eating hay and drinking. May have to take him in, wish I had something for the swelling. He acts ok. I hate it when our actions cause our critters problems.
