I may be wrong, but I would say she is bred. She seems to be carrying an awful low load.

Is the buck registered with ABGA? I sold all my boers when I decided to do a dairy, no room for both. But I had spotted goats too; always wanted a black spotted one but never got one.

We have dairy as well and are now attempting to do both. Small scale for both breeds. Yes the buck is ABGA registered fullblood and she is 75%. IF she is bred we will keep any doelings and bucklings will be sold as commercial. I would love to add some black spotted also!!

I bought a solid black and a traditional with a black head and bred them to my spotted buck but ended up with a solid black kid and traditional with spotted head, but red, not black.

I gave up trying to do both when I had too many bucks. I have three dairy breeds right now and that is driving me crazy. The boers just put me over the top. Plus I was hoping that spots would sell but I was about 2 years behind that fad. Size and growth rate sells, as it should in a boer, and the spots seem to lag a little on both counts.

We have Nubians and Boers and like I said small scale 1 boer buck and 1 nubian buck, 2 boer does, and 5 nubian does.

Thank you to everyone!! She was bred... 2 adorable kids born tonight. Solid red doeling and a spotted buckling.

Congratulations.

Of course the buckling is the spotted one, go figure. But some of my nicest spotted kids came from a solid red so don't despair; that doeling carries that spotted gene too.

Thank you everyone!! We are so in love with these two. The doeling will be retained - registration was submitted this morning!! Meet - WSTR Cry Baby Rebel Yell - her barn name is Baby. Her brother will stay with us for a little while and then be sold as commercial if I don't have a change of heart first :)
