Last night our four year old Ram went down. We initially thought it was bloat, but upon further examination his rumen was barely full at all. The next suspect on our list was pneumonia as a pipe had broken a few days earlier and really messed up his stall, yet he got moved. So this morning the vet came out and well.. It was none of those things. Turns out our beloved Reggie got twisted intestines/bowel. And well.. he was in so much pain he got put down. Out of every pain and hardship at our farm he was always the happy, goofy boy he was. And it is just so painful after all the years to loose him too. There is one bright side and it is that our ewe is carrying the last of his babies. I will always love my Reg Man. :hit
