That's awful. Knowing what happened does not help much I imagine. Hope one of the babies is a Reggie Jr.

So sorry. At least you did all that you could.....but it hurts a lot to lose a loved animal.

I am so sorry that you had to make that decision. Even when it is the "right" thing to do, it is so hard. Big hugs.

Bad luck! I'm so sorry. From an emotional standpoint I am sorry for your loss and hate to think of an animal in pain - you made the humane decision to euthanize. So awful for you to see him suffer. From a farm standpoint, the financial loss is huge since he is half your flock. Looking on the bright side, at least you had a final breeding season out of him. Think what might have happened if it had happened at the beginning of breeding season, leaving you scrambling for a replacement. Now you have time to find a good replacement or consider keeping one of his ram lambs if you liked his conformation, genetics and personality. Reggie JR?
