I can also see a difference in milk output when I feed a high protein hay (alfalfa, peanut, etc.) If they don't get it at night I'll lose up to 1/3 of my normal milk in the am. Mine get less during the day since they have grass and are grazing with the other goats. I can't afford to feed ALL the goats unlimited $$ hay!
