I absolutely love my Nubian. She is so sweet and I am getting almost a half gallon out of her. I have also had Saanens as well. They give lots of milk, but in my experience, they are not as sweet as Nubian. I have never owned an Alpine, but I hear they are great milkers. Not sure of their Temperament

I have four Alpine. Each one has there own personality.
Cinnamon is a bit shy but the most loving and sweet goat I know.
Stella is a very aware goat and a bit skidding.
Sophie is a pig bully and piggy, but very sweet with her people.
Sugar is a bit bouncy and never holds still to be petted much, but is also very sweet when calm, she is also a doiling

I have decided to get a Nubian. I have been looking for both miniature and standard Nubians, but the mini's are a lot rarer (well, quality ones are), and so we will get a full-sized one, and breed our own Mini-Nubians I guess.
I found a seven-month-old Nubian doeling on Craigslist, and although she is almost four and half hours away, she is from a CAE negative herd, and is G6S normal by parentage. The seller is willing to test for CAE and CL at my expense.
