That is our major issue right now, we "have" 2-1/2 water shares for the property. As the home was foreclosed on, the previous owners were suppose to relinquish the certificates which they did not. They have been fighting to get them and now we are legally attempting to get them. They know you cannot farm the land without the irrigation because it is too dry or unless you want to spend hundred of dollars a month on water. We've had a few $300 water bills before. For one month.
The rain barrel thing flabbergasted me when I moved here. It is just absurd. I'd happily move out of here but my partner has an amazing well payed job and I couldn't get him to move if his life depended on it
