I might add that I dehorned these guys when their horns were little nubs with a dehorning iron. My son sits on them while laying down, holds their head and I burn. Over quick no blood.
Jersey bull won't be much over a year old when he hits the freezer. He is here for one tour of duty only. Was born last June and will be in the freezer this fall. He has not been handled and is not a pet. Have heavy duty round pen panels if he gets to be a handful. No one is allowed in pasture...
Sorry to hear about your lost kid. Don't beat yourself up. I recommend you purchase a head snare. Jeffers has them. I have saved a couple of kids getting "big" heads delivered easier.

The last steer I raised showed no interest in my cow at all and her heats were hard to read.We had her pasture bred at a friend's farm. We are raising a jersey bull calf to breed her back.

Sorry to hear about your baby goat. Sounds like he might have hydrocephalus (fluid around the brain). Unfortunately the outcome is generally grim. :hugs
Sorry about the twin. Sounds like the other one was very lucky.Glad your doe didn't have to have a CSection! Glad she's OK and congrats on the new baby.
Sounds like the neck and head is bent sideways. Lube your hand up good and place it on top of the head. Close your eyes be calm and think about what you are feeling. If you found one ear search for the other this should give u a good idea of placement. Push the head in and turn at the same time...
