    Attack rabbit?

I have a doe that's similar, I'm a little person and she's a BIG rabbit. But, she puts out good litters. So when I take her to the bucks cage, I use a small pet carrier with some carrot tops in the back. I hold it right up to the door and she goes in. I do the same thing to take her out of...

    Rabbit Manure

Not to mention I get lots of worms for fishing right beneath the hutch where the poo directly sits. They seem to draw to there. I can't turn a shovel without finding BIG FAT night crawlers. My only problem now is how to detour the slugs and moles, I have a huge problem with that here.

Anyone leave nesting boxes in all of the time?

I give them to all my buns when winter is at it's worst. I will however avoid putting them in their normal pooping spot so it's less likely to be used as the litter pan. Sometime's it works sometimes it doesn't.

    Wasp Repellent

I have a buck that was recently stung in the eye by a wasp? I'm assuming because it's wasps I've been seeing near the pen. After a week of treating and what not, I do believe he'll be blind in that eye, but he's doing well now and I think will be in the clear. I am a little hesitant to spray...

    Antibiotics

I have a Buck that I was hoping to put in the stew pot this weekend for having really bad manners. But, low and behold I wake up to him having pink eye. After he's treated with the antibiotics and back to proper meanness, is he going to be edible? (The antibiotic is a cream that goes in the...

A little peeved with a purchaser

If I could convey the anger this guy was showing, I just can't think of the words to describe it. I do understand it's his rabbit. Paid for all yours buddy. But...... to blame the rabbit and then demand to buy another doe. I don't know, maybe I'm just sensitive. Believing what people say...

A little peeved with a purchaser

He said it was an accident, which I know happen. But the more he talked the more I didn't feel like it was an accident. I just couldn't believe the switch in gears this guy took. For years he talked like he cared so much for his animals and then suddenly he didn't. I was so furious, if I...

A little peeved with a purchaser

I've known this guy through my work for a few years. He always said he raised meat rabbits as a young adult. So I sold him a doe from one of my litters. (even though he hadn't been a breeder for a decade he still had several bucks as pets for his children) The doe was "accidently" bred two...

    Can rabbits eat soy?

yes, we use a bb gun loaded with a pellet. Pump that up enough and it does the trick nicely, bonus being very little noise. We will actually sit inside the house with the window open and nothing can be heard outside. Our neighbors definitely appreciate the effort. :D

    Can rabbits eat soy?

 we live in the city too. My neighbors put up a privacy fence so we just bait them to the back yard where her 'proper' eyes can't see. We talked to the local law enforcement and they said as long as we are using a pellet gun and not exceeding the bag limit to have at it, they are a big...

    Can rabbits eat soy?

Relocated squirrels? I've never heard of that. When their in season we hunt them just like other wild game. They are rather tasty in stews and crock pots. A sweet meat for sure, but definitely worth it.

    The Heat, with breeds

I wish I had a barn, lol. Right now i live in town and the shed is my husbands only domain lol, so I'm not going to take that space too. They all live in hutches outside in the coolest part of our yard and hidden from passer byes. Yesterday the thermometer read 104, ouch.

    Bigger is not always better!

Im gonna have to chime in on this too! It's very frustrating. I'm only 4'9 and, yes full grown and an adult. And people always say- Don't you wish you were taller, isn't inconvenient to be that short, and so on and so on. NO! I don't want to be taller and I've been this way since the 5th...
