My apologies if this has been addressed. My 7 year old rescue goat is shedding, and the hair is not growing back.I'm thinking vitamin deficiency. Any suggestions on what to use? This is a non friendly goat that was rescued from a slaughterhouse, so shots are kind of tough. I'm not a very goat...
I sold this baby a few months ago as a pet, now the lady can't keep him and is looking for a home for him. I thought I would post on here. He is castrated, born on March 18th and fully vetted. Father was a pygmy and mom was a nigerian dwarf. Very friendly, all white with black legs. PM me for...
The scours have stopped. He has been given Valbazen for parasites. Pcn for listeriosis, vitamin B, electrolyes, probiotic paste and miloxicam for pain. He is not stiff (no tetnus). He is occassionally shivering (put a light goat coat on him) drinking; but not much. No interest in food really...
I have three, mom, dad and one baby - new goat owner myself - they are nigerian/pygmy mixes and I absoltuely adore them, they are cheap to feed and make great yard weeders. Very personable and I have seen no bad traits in them yet
Is it a boy or girl? If it's a boy, maybe you would want to have him castrated? Hay, lots of hay, I give mine horse treats as a treat, but they also love animal crackers, raisins and black oil sunflower seed, which is really good for them
Mine eat hay and the occasional grain, but they love raisins as a treat - the only suggestion I have, is that if you get one, you should have two - goats are like horses - they are herd animals and need companionship
Good luck, you will love him/her!
