Thanks. I was thinking of making a plywood liner for under the lid. I can make it a little long to cover the edge.
I need to see how they attatch under the cage. We have problems with bobcats. They cant get TO the cages, but I've had a rabbit panic and kill it's self from the stress...
I googled free bull calf and came up with this. Free calves add is at the bottom below the PETA sounding paragraph.

I wouldn't count on the dairies making a lot of money on this. They have been subsidized and haven't really felt the effects of the higher feed prices. In the past year we have had 3 local dairies shut down and the news reported that this year, state wide, over 50 dairies have gone out of...
My doe had twins on Sat. They are both nursing on one side leaving the other side full. I have been moving them to the full side when I go out in the morning but as soon as I let them go they go to the other side. The neglected side is full. Once the kids are done I've been milking the doe...
Is it your property? If so I'd call the elect company holler about them killing your forage and see if they will cover some hay. One of the ranchers nearby was able to get them to supply him with some after a similar incident. It didn't replace what was killed, but it helped.
Our friends and neighbors have learned that nothing is free. When we butchered our pig everyone said we should have a big cook out for the neighborhood. It never dawned on them that we had to PAY for the animal, feed and butchering. Once they saw the numbers they quit asking.
Thanks y'all. Now I just need to find some small goats. I was thinking of getting a couple of Dwarf Nigerians. That way I have more than one for company and off set breeding/milking without being inundated with milk. I was talking to a guy about a mother/daughter pair but he never got back...
Thank you. I've looked at the Dexters but as we live in the desert all feed will have to be provided and a 120lb goat will eat far less than a 600 pound cow. I'd rather have a cow, but not when hay is up to $400 a ton and rising. We generally drink a gallon of 2% and a gal of skim a week~week...
I'd like to get a milk goat. Hubby wants to know how much fat is in it. He drinks skim milk and the kids and I drink 2%. Is there a way to remove some of the fat from the milk? I know you can make cheese from goats milk, but can you make butter? I'd like a milk cow but I don't need that...
Some animals travel better than others. Yours was in a box which could have reduced the stress since he couldn't see the 'scary' world flash by. I bought 3 rabbits from Phoenix and drove 6 hrs home. I covered the travel carrier with a towel, one of the does was stressing and upsetting the...
It's not necessary to spay your rabbit and can be dangerous for her as well as expensive for you. Not many vets treat rabbits. Few know anything about them. Keep her clean. Keep her cage clean. She should heal. Is she on wire or does she have a resting board? Being on wire all the time...
6 18x24 cages. Thats a good price if they are large enough for your rabbits. I'd take them to use as weaning cages for my New Zealand rabbits. I prefer 18x36 for the adults but those would be fine for younger / smaller rabbits.
The only way to know for sure is to know who bred them and if they keep records and tattooed the rabbit. Teeth really can't help as they continue to grow throughout the rabbits life. A vet could guess, but it would be just a guess. I've got a New Zealand White buck that is 7yrs and doing well.
My best NZW buck wasn't interested in the girls until almost 10 months old. Once he figured it out he quit wasting time and has done very well for us. He won Reserve at our fair and has sired 3 more reserve champions and 2 that would easily have beaten the ones that beat us if the heat hadn't...
