    I would go to a plumbing supply dept and get a 2 piece spigot kit or plug kit. The key would be the 2 pieces fitting together with some sort of gasket in the middle. Or how about a plug for a rowboat?? Not sure how to describe it, but it needs to be in the drain hole for the boat before launching:)
