    Ivomectin pour on cattle, for goat

    Anyone ever use this on goats? If so, lactating ones? How long did you throw out the milk?

    Help! found a newborn rabbit

    @aslsea1 no, they feed 1 to 2 times per day, morning and night. For a baby without a mother, it could use all the extra nutrition it can get.

    BlessedWithGoats Journal: Happy Birthday Gia!

    Aw. I have an older guy too, I think he's about 5 now? I'm becoming more protective of him, not letting him be as free as before (he is, but currently transitioning, a free range bunny)

    Banding goats horns

    Anyone else ever do this? Got a little doeling today. She's still being bottle fed, horns less than 2" I'd say but I'll measure. Anyone ever band their goats horns? Everything I'm reading online is from, "it's easy and quick" to "it's awful and Inhumane and will kill your goat", only focusing...

    What do you do with the stuff after making cheeses

    Yeah turns out it's called whey lol. Well we made mozzeralla, feta & some other kind. I think. Might've just been those 2. But we ended up making ricotta with the whey. I'll have to find a recipe for bread. The feta is still hanging, and he mozzeralla turned out good. Slightly salty, but...

    Pygmy ear problems

    Uhh, pics? Could be an infection.. I'd put blukote on it right away. And you may want to separate him from the other goat.

    how are feed prices looking in your area

    I like the shiny bags, they don't rip as easily as the paper ones... It's about $19-20 per #50 of chicken feed, closer to $15 if you're at Walmart.

    CBL=) Journal

    Thanks all! The baby goat is still standoffish but were going to bottle feed her (and the lamb we got!) to help gain weight. And of course to make them tame. We've got so much milk! It's crazy! And we can't sell it unless we've sold goat shares! Ahh! And I have no idea how shares work. Lol...

    CBL=) Journal

    Thanks! We got our meat goat. Not sure of her name yet. Her name was Heidi, then we changed it to Nugget, but now she's wearing a collar that says Yukon, so.. She's our brown meat goat! Anyone know how to get a goat used to being led? She's not good at all, lol. Should I just work with her...

    How to get a doe to be milked

    They just fed her hay and fodder. They've been getting 7 cups a day and she reached nearly a gallon last year. The other goats mother and grandmother both gave a gallon a day. Anywho, I've been throwing in a handful of grain while they eat hay pellets (just compressed hay) to gradually...

    How to get a doe to be milked

    Yes we do have a milking stand, but it isnt quite like that. We'll attach a board to prevent her from laying down. Well she's never had grain before us, so her owner obviously milked her somehow. We'll try just letting her on it and eat grain. She doesn't like eating while being milked

    How to get a doe to be milked

    So, argh, our new doe Sofia doesn't want to be milked. She sticks her head as far back as possible until she's at her widest part and can't move it, she'll sit down on her front knees/elbows, and jump and kick if you touch her udder. If she cooperates, her milk doesn't come out! Takes forever...

    Buyers Beware

    What're drags? Googling isn't helping. That sucks. Is it this one? "I will have 6 Kangal Boz and Kangal puppies for sale by June 20th, 2015. I have two boy kangals for $1,000 each and four girl kangals for $800 each." Etc etc. Those dogs just look straight up sad. I know that their expressions...
