Just wanted to let everyone know I had my first case ever of bloat. All the reading I did on BYH paid off. I noticed it and treated it very quickly. He is doing great today. Its nice to know that there is so much great info on this forum. :D
When I had my bottle calf I had the same issue. I went and got another nipple and made sure it had a very small hole. He had to really work at getting the milk out and by the time he got it all drank his brain had caught up with his stomach. He still looked for more, just not as bad.
Ours was cut with a modified brush hog. The point is, that you try with what you have. :)
We cut in the morning and I raked it in rows late that evening. The next day at high noon, I turned and fluffed the rows and we started to bail around 5. We got 16 bales with 1/4 acre.

We use buckets on most of our pigs. They were trained to follow a food bucket at a young age. But I did have one that would move. The way we had to move her was drag her to the trailer by her back feet. It was a little loud but got the job done.
Our well is only 60 feet deep and all the info said a hand pump would not draw the water up. But our well only had about 7 feet of water in it. It dried up many years ago. Good luck on you project, I hope you can fine a good solution.
