We were about to give the goats their CD&T shots, and noticed Sam was peeing blood. So after loading him up and taking him in, the vet looked him over and explained to us about stones. I guess he had a stone that was having a difficult time passing. He was eating and drinking just fine, and otherwise ok. But now he's on antibiotics because he was running a bit of fever (104*).
The vet did mention going to a feed store and getting a solution to put in their water to help break up the stones their bodies create so they can pass easier. Anyone ever do this? I'm glad we caught this when we did. I would have been so upset if something would've happened to him!!
