Hi all. I had a steel outdoor table frame with a badly neglected wooden top, so I decided to give it a new top......but, wood is so expensive. I had a pallet lying around so....
First I made a frame that I bolted onto the steel framework.
Then I cut the pallet into equal sized pieces....making sure that all the old nail holes line up
I used three pieces of knotty pine offcuts that were lying around for the two sides and the middle. After sanding for what seemed to be ages (3 days by hand) I finally gave it 3 coats of linseed oil...
I am never satisfied with anything I've done.....so I need some criticism and ideas on how to improve. Please don't be gentle......just lay it on me. Lol
