Hello, I am glad to be here. It seems like I am growing my little homestead everyday. I now have Rabbits, Chickens, Guinea, Ducks, Geese, and feeder pigs in a couple months. I would also like to get a dairy goat in the next year, when I get more fencing put up. I am still playing catch up with what I have right now. Thanks

Welcome from NW Mississippi!! Glad ya have joined the 'Herd' and it sounds like ya have a pretty good start going already...:)....we have goats, chickens, and ducks here...just a couple of suggestions that will help ya here...first is goats are a herd animal and just don't do very well by themselves, they need at the minimum 1 other of their kind to buddy up with....cause only a goat can speak 'Goat'...also, if ya would put a general location in your banner it will help not only you, but any that may be attempting to address your questions, because locale can make a very big Difference in the possibilities that would be considered....and it will certainly be one of the first questions asked when assistance is sought by you for your animals....we don't have dairy goats, but there are many very knowledgeable people here that do and they can expound on breeds...ya may wish to start in the 'Forums and Threads' because they contain vast amounts of information already....and if ya read something that spurs a question just ask it and someone will get to ya rather quickly with assistance....again Welcome!! :welcome

Welcome to BYH!! You have quite the collection of animals. I only have rabbits, but a friend of mine has chickens, ducks, and Guineas. The Guineas are really annoying, and fight with her rooster. Anyways, what kind of rabbits do you have? Oh, and pictures! We all love pictures!

Welcome to BYH! It seams to me that you have caught The Chicken Math!!!
But not to worry... You'll love it.

P.S. you may want to check out BackyardChickens.com It's run by the same people as this site but is focused more on poultry.

Yep Micah got that CHICKEN MATH!
What kind of goats are you planning on getting?

BTW I think chicken math is worse than goat math;)!

Welcome from Ohio! Sounds like a busy place, good luck with the plans for a milk goat (or goats, as mentioned they do best with at least two). Looking forward to pictures when you have time.
