Hello!
So I just recently brought 2 new goats kids home to be companions with my current kid. I've noticed strange behavior coming from one of the new kids I call Moose, hes constantly headbutting the older kid Fred's side. I've noticed a few times a day so far, I watch them alot. Is this behavior something I need to be worried about? Fred is a wether and Moose will be my breeder male for my future does. In the picture attached Fred is on the left and Moose on the far right

It is something that goats do as they workout the dominance and hierarchy of the herd. I saw horns on the one, far left, but can't really tell about the other 2....are they disbudded? If they are this could cause a much bigger issue a little later, however if the one doing the butting is a wether and the one being butted is intact, then the situation will change in a few months as the one intact will become dominant. They will also mount another as a show of dominance. They are really cute and the one on the far left looks like there is some boer in the blood.

Thank you, the one with horns is a wether, both others are polled, one wether one intact. the one with horns is being headbutted by the white one thankfully not the other way around. and yes my horned one, Fred is a boer cross, as you can tell he never takes his eyes off of me. He was my first as we lost his first companion so i went and got these others so he isn't alone and i can start my herd

Cute kids, They should work it out on their own. Moose not having horns is a good thing.
yeah I'm pretty happy that fred is the only baby with horns and shows no type of aggression!
