I've never been good at things like this. Anyway, hi. I'm new here (obviously) and I'm from north Texas, around the Dallas area. Feel free to ask questions.

Greetings and welcome to BYH from NE TX (Mount Pleasant)! So glad you joined us. There are several of us in the NE TX area on here. Please share a little more about yourself... what animals do you have/want, Can you share some pics? There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Hope you enjoy the site!

Here's another Texan weighing in with a big howdy and welcome! I'm in Erath Co. which is West-ish from DFW. We have Nigerian Dwarf goats, California rabbits, geese, ducks, chickens and dogs. Seems like the local RoadRunners have decided we are acceptable so we see them almost daily.

Glad you found us, and double glad you are here.

Thank you for the welcome! I'll be sure to upload pictures of my animals as soon as I can. Would this be easier to do if I set up a member journal?

Thank you for the welcome as well! We also have Nigerian Dwarfs, dogs, a llama and one Mini Rex rabbit. I'll be sure to post pictures of them later. Roadrunners don't show up often around here, but we see them from time to time. Thank you again!

If you feel like you're going to be a regular (and we all hope you will be), why not start your own journal? https://www.backyardherds.com/forums/members-backyardherds-journals.18/ That way you'll have all your "stuff" in one place for future reference :) I'll follow along on your journey and I'm sure a lot of others will as well. Of course you can use it for whatever purpose; sharing pics, venting, just winding down from a long day, posing questions, whatever you feel. Of course you can still post specific questions on the pertinent threads where folks with that particular interest/experience will more likely see it. Just make yourself at home! :D

:frow Welcome from yet another North Texan! DH & I are about 40 minutes West of @Latestarter. We have gotten to be good friends since he moved here about (correct me if I'm wrong?) 1-1/2 years ago?

We are also good friends with @Baymule & her DH. They started their homestead about the same time we did, almost 3-1/2 years ago.

We got our first goats (4 ND wethers), from @animalmom, back when we first started. We learned a LOT, about goats & raised our 2 Maremma LGD's on them.

We no longer have the NDs. However are so grateful for all we learned, about how to take care of goats, from them!

We now have 4 LaMancha and one Nubian dairy goats, and just bought a sweet little Myotonic buckling.

In addition to our goats, we have chickens, Khaki Campbell egg ducks, Pekin ducks, Muscovy ducks, a pair of geese and a cranky female turkey.
