Thank you, RollingAcres! I'm glad to be here.

If you feel like you're going to be a regular (and we all hope you will be), why not start your own journal? https://www.backyardherds.com/forums/members-backyardherds-journals.18/ That way you'll have all your "stuff" in one place for future reference :) I'll follow along on your journey and I'm sure a lot of others will as well. Of course you can use it for whatever purpose; sharing pics, venting, just winding down from a long day, posing questions, whatever you feel. Of course you can still post specific questions on the pertinent threads where folks with that particular interest/experience will more likely see it. Just make yourself at home! :D

I'll be sure to do that soon! Just need to get some stuff in order first.
:frow Welcome from yet another North Texan! DH & I are about 40 minutes West of @Latestarter. We have gotten to be good friends since he moved here about (correct me if I'm wrong?) 1-1/2 years ago?

We are also good friends with @Baymule & her DH. They started their homestead about the same time we did, almost 3-1/2 years ago.

We got our first goats (4 ND wethers), from @animalmom, back when we first started. We learned a LOT, about goats & raised our 2 Maremma LGD's on them.

We no longer have the NDs. However are so grateful for all we learned, about how to take care of goats, from them!

We now have 4 LaMancha and one Nubian dairy goats, and just bought a sweet little Myotonic buckling.

In addition to our goats, we have chickens, Khaki Campbell egg ducks, Pekin ducks, Muscovy ducks, a pair of geese and a cranky female turkey.

Ah cool! We don't have any more chickens let alone any type of ducks, geese or turkeys! Sounds like that'll keep you busy.

Welcome from another Texan! We are in the Lindale area, about 7 miles off I-20. Hop on the interstate and come see us!
We have 3 horses, 2 feeder pigs (destined for Freezer Camp) 9 hair sheep ewes and 1 ram lamb, 2 Great Pyrenees, 1 black Lab/Great Dane, Muscovy ducks, and a bunch of chickens.

We are delighted that you have joined us, you'll have to come to one of our get togethers when @Latestarter , @Devonviolet and I cook, eat, enjoy good company and talk farm, animals, goats, sheep, more animals.....

Ah only about an hour or so away from us. We have 19 Nigerian Dwarfs, 1 llama, 1 mini rex and 2 Great Pyrenees. All of them sure keep us busy.
Sounds delightful! I'll be sure to keep that in mind in the future.

Might want to check Kayak.com RA... I'm sure the round trip flight will be cheaper and I know it will be a damned sight faster! ;) Lots of folks down here with spare rooms to put you up for a few days. :D Just let us know. H.N.G. would be great if you could join us next time we get together. You be welcomed! I presently have 17 Lamanchas, 3 laying hens, a 50/50 Pyr/Toli and a new mutt from the pound.

No thanks, I'd rather drive. I have bad motion sickness so I try not to fly anywhere.
We'll give you a good bed to sleep in, darn good food to eat and great company!
:clap
