I got 3 new zealand type rabbits a little over a month ago. Im compleately new to this. I went out this morning and one of the does gave birth to 3 little ones. Is it normal to have only three? I was reading before that it was around 6 or 7. Is it possible more will come out later? And she didnt have them in the nesting box but i put them in there this morning. Is all this ok? Please educate me. Thanks

Mine just had her first kindling, and we can handle them and I have added two rescue kits to her litter...they are all fine. They are NZ...good luck and congratulations

If you are talking about re breeding her, I personally wait at least eight weeks, some wait four weeks.....I let them gain some weight and recover. ....if you are in a hurry to build a breeding stock, get another doe, ....
There is alot of information in the rabbit section here, some really great posts from people who have been breeding and showing rabbits for a long time.....
