Anyone else on here breed Scottish Highland cattle?
We are in North Idaho and started a few years ago with young herd and I thought I'd share a few pictures.
I'd love to hear from anyone who breeds these beautiful cows.

They are mazing animals, I've heard. Don't think they're TX bound with all that hair. The tiny "white" calf is adorable!! Look at that face :love
We are in for a hot week here in Idaho.... maybe I'll turn the sprinklers on for them 😅

My next door neighbor AKA my brother-in-law has 3 Highland cows, an angus bull, and 2 yearling Highland/angus steers.

The cows should all be bred. One is bred to the angus and the other 2 he bought a couple months ago and they should be bred to a Highland. He loves the Highlands and I think we’ve almost convinced him to sell the bull and do AI instead. My Jersey lives over there too.

You guys are smart to AI... I honestly dont have any issues with our bull but I would be nice to know for sure when they are due instead of guessing all the time!

I have highland crosses. My 2 heifers are x with Hereford. I have the dexter x highland steer, then my bull who is miniature British Park x wagyu. All but my steer have some full size genetics. I’m not in it for sale of breeding stock. I’d like good beef once a year and have 1 to sell. 02B426FC-FCDA-42C4-B5C4-EBDBE13D7881.jpegDE9322F3-4F26-457F-AA72-3A946AEA1507.jpegDF1957CE-F7B3-4807-9D73-D36F6B9EA086.jpeg
