Hey welcome from Texas Goats are awesome i adore mine. And they know it. A water gun maybe come your best friend when disappointing your goats water hose work well to keep them out of the garden or off any fruit tree you don't want them near as they all think they will melt or disappear if they get wet. Lol mine will freak out screaming if it starts raining and they are in the pasture away from their house. I have 3 nubian/toggenbergs mixes two are more nubian and a nubian/sansan mix buckling i suppose he techically a buck now wow I forgot how old he had gotten. This is my third year with goats and my second herd.

Thank you for the welcome, Jesusfreak! I can barely wait until I can share how much I love my goats. I’ve only wanted goats for 15 years now and I’m so glad we’re finally going to get them! Thanks for the tip about a water gun. It’s hard to believe it has such an effect on them!

It does mine go for my pecan tree and I just get the hose and they run like they are being attacked by a dinosaur of a monster lol. Work well when they break into my garden as well. They smart little things. I had one that learned how to break in to feed barrels and I have two that know how to get out of the gate if it's not tied just so. They are very smart and will pull down branches and hold them down to enjoy them. They also will eat the bark off the trees so it you have anything you don't want them to kill make sure they don't have access. Mine have kills multiple tree and and lots of bushes. I gave up on having natural shade in their over night pen.
