Good day everyone. New here and on my 3 year with my experience of pigs. We have always raised gilts for meat. We are finding with the raising economy and growing family that it might be more cost efficient to breed a small herd. I would love some advice on picking of a boar. Like I said really new to the male side. We looked at a litter 6 week old pure bred Kunekunes. There was 2 which stuck out to us but I had concerns on the scrotum of each. Here is a picture of them side by side. As you can see there is a large difference. Is one better than the other? Should one not look the way it does? Thank you for all your input.

Haha, you would think by the looks but there is other parts for confirmation. I was wondering if they shrink or hide or drop at a certian age?? Also the one who is to say large is larger than the others in the litter. So I wondered if that mentioned better litter chances?

I would probably pick the brown and black spotted one then like I said I don't know anything about pigs but all the boars I've seen had big balls like that🤪

Quality function! :clap

They look nice and even...

And faster than the rest = quicker to mature.

So, I would think the best pick.
